A Resurgence in Vinyl

A Resurgence in Vinyl

Print Power reports that vinyl records are growing at an impressive rate through younger generations, with the demand being so strong that supermarkets in England are restocking vinyl records. The shared view that both artist and consumers are interested in vinyl records due to their tangible format; with the desire to collect and cherish their records rather than being seen as disposable. Sales in the US have increased by 260% since 2009, this is a trend that seemingly has traveled the pond to the UK; this inevitably offers opportunities for printers.

Sleeve printing is a niche market and requires specialist skills and equipment to provide the finished artwork, as these records must be packaged properly due their fragile nature. So for those companies that are fortunate to be specialised in this area, the renewed interest appears to allow for plenty of packing potential.
